Ahmed M. Silanyo is the first  President general of the Republic of Somaliland, from 2010 to 2017. He was born on October 6, 1936, in the town of Gabiley in the North West region of Somaliland. Silanyo was a native of Somaliland politics and he took responsibility for the security and development of the region.

Silanyo was a member of the Somali National Cultural Party (SNM), which fought against Siad Barre's government during the 1980 Somali civil war. Somalia. Silanyo held almost all the positions of the Somaliland government before he was the president, including the representative of the Ministry of Planning, and the representative of the Ministry of Trade.

.Dahir Riyale Kahin (d. 1952) was the president of the Republic of Somaliland after his appointment from 2002 to 2010. He was one of the first allies of the presidency in the Republic of Somaliland, where the Kulmiye, UCID, and KULMIYE parties are sitting.

 Dahir Riyale was born in Gabiley, Awdal region of Somaliland. He graduated from Hargeisa High School and other international schools in Hargeisa. After winning the presidential election in 2003, he will soon take office in Hargeisa.
